ME FRANK TREXLER sends the July 4th front of The Daily Times for review. Ed’s comments follow.
FROM ED: A few items to note here…
1. I really like the art behind the nameplate…but isn’t it somewhat redundant to the main piece of art on the page?
2. “Four views…” really doesn’t break up the package into four separate pieces. Looks like the story is written in linear form and not segmented. I think you missed a chance to do that here.
3. No art and no pullouts in either story along the right side makes these appear to be long…and maybe a chore to read.
4. All three packages jump!
I think we missed some opportunities here. And July 4th is a front that can get better planning. Sorry…not a winner with me.
