IT’S ALWAYS A PLEASURE to receive a page submission from Kristin. Her pages are never the same—and they always add a touch of elegance and excitement to Ed Henninger’s Blog. Here’s her latest.
FROM KRISTIN: I have another page for scrutiny. “The art of wood” was very challenging. I had 13 photos. Some were great photos that I could cutout but some I couldn’t do much with. I liked the top, but when it came to doing the bottom I just kind of blanked. What would you have done different?
At the top though, I don’t like that the tail of the fish is right up against the edge of the screen. I’d have moved it down and to the left about a pica or a bit more. And I’m bothered by the tail of the duck being cut off in the middle photo.
Typography is very nice, as is the attention to negative space.
I like it!
